Unpopular opinion about the unpopular opinion about Lady Gaga:

Many hate on Lady Gaga for being too flamboyant and a bad example for the gay community. People part of the gay community complain that Lady Gaga doesn’t properly represent them. I say that at least the gay community has someone in the main music industry that speaks for them in the right ways and actively supports them. They also complain about her not really knowing the struggles of bullying for being gay. She fucking does, you assholes. It may not be for being gay, but she’s gone through struggles for being different, which is the overall theme for bullying, ISN’T IT?! 

I’m not saying that you HAVE TO like Lady Gaga, but just freaking appreciate what she does for people. She’s actually doing something to change the world. It may not be in your taste, but at least she’s there. She’s the spark this society needs to say, “hey, it’s okay to be different.” She needs to be as flamboyant and big as she can be, so that people who are 1/10 of what she is can still be themselves without being judged. 

I respect her for that. I don’t particularly love her music, but I still admire her for putting words like “gay”, “lesbian”, “transgendered”, etc. in her songs.
